3D printing in molding
The use of 3D printing in your company:
The basic element used in the molding is the model. It is surrounded by sand molding, silicone or ceramics, and on this basis a form is produced that will be used later in the process. The preparation of tooling for casting molds using traditional CNC machine tools is a series of complex activities, including the design of the machining process, the preparation of machine tooling and tools. It is time-consuming and requires a lot of labour, and often the model needs to be altered.
3D printing technology allows you to significantly reduce the cost and time spent on a project, while maintaining the precision of the final form. 3D printing also excludes imperfections resulting from improper molding, thereby providing flexibility and shortening of the process time.
Thanks to models made on a 3D printer, it is possible to produce personalised elements or short series. Trace casting allows an accurate metal copy of the printed item to be produced.
